  • FogShield Sport, an Anti-Fog Treatment with Proven Results on the Track

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- “At Bausch+Lomb we have for a long time understood the anti-fog protection that FogShield provides through its use and results with firefighters and hazmat professionals in industrial environments. The test results are now coming back from both road and motocross racers that FogShield Sport delivers anti-fog protection and clear vision under the extreme conditions for eight hours or more” said John Stewart, general manager, Vision Accessories, Bausch & Lomb.

Coach Seiji Ishii is well know in the Motocross and Supercross community for training and coaching several pro and elite level motocross athletes. Coach Seiji recently got to put FogShield Sport through its paces with several of his athletes and here is what he had to say: “I tested Fog Shield Sport with my elite riders during the Christmas holidays back home in Austin, TX. This area of South Central Texas is known for its humid conditions and during our Christmas holiday here, it was unusually cold as well. On one particular day riding outdoor motos, drizzle had fallen on and off all day and the temperatures were around 55 degrees.

Humidity was just about 100% and you could see the mist in the air between spurts of drizzling. We applied the FogShield Sport only once that day and never had even a hint of fogging issues. We even breathed inside the goggles during breaks to try to get them to fog but to no avail. I can attest that this product does exactly what it promises: you will have zero fogging issues. I am always going to keep it in my gear bag from now on as fogging goggles can not only be dangerous but it takes some of the enjoyment out of the day. Good job B+L.”
Chris Onwiler of Trackdaymag.com also tested FogShield Sport on the road race track and said, “On the weekend of 12/10-12/11, we ran at Jennings GP in cold, humid conditions. Visors were fogging regardless of helmet brand. We used one packet of Fogshield Sport to treat three visors and all remained fog-free after that. This is good stuff!” Chris added, “...we feel that Bausch+Lomb’s Fogshield Sport would be an outstanding addition to any racetrack rider’s gear bag. After all, riding is always better than pouting!

John Stewart concluded, “athletes of all ability levels know that the wrong combination of temperature, activity and humidity causes protective goggles to fog up, making it virtually impossible to see. These test results show that FogShield Sport’s proprietary technology provides a safe ride all day long.”
