This is the second year for Ricky Carmichael University and the Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross that is held right after the Daytona Supercross in Florida. The first year was extremely successful and this year looks to be even better. Ricky has been nicknamed the “G.O.A.T.” for Greatest Of All Time in motocross. What he’s accomplished in numbers of wins and championships is unparalleled by anyone. Although he’s switched to racing with four wheels in NASCAR, it’s clear the motocross fans miss cheering for him on two wheels. The events coming up at Daytona are a great opportunity to see Carmichael up close and personal.
Trey Canard, 450 Supercross – Honda
This has been an outstanding year for Canard on the 450. Last year he did some select east coast rounds on the 450 and it was obvious it suits him. The series is five races in now and he sits fourth in points, only 3 points behind third place. This weekend he finished 5th and he has been very consistent so far this year. Trey’s fan base has grown immensely this year and he has been very entertaining to watch in opening ceremonies each round.
Matt Griffin, President and Founder – Vortex Racing
During the past 16 years, Griffin has helped turn Vortex into an international brand trusted by the most famous motorcycle racers in road racing, offroad, and supercross/ motocross. They have a 24,000-square-foot factory in Odessa and worldwide distribution of its products, which include sprockets, handlebars and frame sliders, as well as other products. Matt started the business right out of college in 1995 and still manages the day to day operations.

Kurt Caselli won the recent WORCS race at Honolulu Hills in Taft California and dedicated it to his friend and competitor Nathan Woods. Woods died a few days before the race in a crash in practice. Caselli is the 2010 reigning WORCS Champion, his second championship in the WORCS series. His is a five-time ISDE Top American and 2007 AMA Sportsman of the Year.
Taylor Knapp, Daytona Sportbike Rider – Vesrah Suzuki

This year he is moving to the stacked Daytona Sportbike class joining Mark Junge and championship winning crew at Vesrah Suzuki.
