Back On Top
Bowers‚hard work paid off as he found the top of the podium for the first time this season in Denver. He had to work his way around teammate Davenport, but eventually got by and took the win.
"I had a decent start on Friday and just tried to ride smart, be relaxed, and patient, said Bowers. Gray was riding great, but I found an area where I could pass him."
Winner
Also getting his first win of the season, Johnson capture an impressive wire-to-wire win on Saturday night to give the Babbitts Monster Energy TiLube Kawasaki team a sweep of the Denver double header.
"The combination of my good start, riding smart, and help from the team with my bike set-up, really helped me capture my first win, said Johnson. It's nice to get the first win over with."
Podium Finishers
When Bowers and Johnson weren't winning their first races, the duo traded runner-up finishes. Johnson finished second on Friday, while Bowers fought through the pack to earn the spot on Saturday.
"I really wanted to make it two-for-two and tried to make a pass for the lead, but ended up hitting my teammate, said Bowers. Luckily he was okay. I got back up and got going in third. I rode smart, got past (Jeff) Gibson, and almost caught Johnson. Second was okay for a wild night like that."
Making It Count
Filling in for injured teammate Josh Demuth, Davenport has filled the champion's shoes with maturity and willingness to learn. He earned the Friday night holeshot and captured his first podium finish of the season in third. Saturday he was ready to return to the podium, but an injured hand kept him from running 100 percent. Despite the pain, Davenport rode to a fourth-place finish, narrowly missing the podium.
"On Friday night, we made some progress with a few changes to the bike and it worked awesome," said Davenport. Saturday was a different story. In my heat race, I hit my hand on something in the first turn. It really hurt, and got pretty swollen. I wasn't sure if I was going to race, but I was able to go out.

Carrying serious momentum from their Denver triumphs, the Babbitts Monster Energy TiLube Kawasaki team heads back to Ohio for the fifth round of the AMA Arenacross series at Huntington Center in Toledo.
