Team San Manuel Kicks off 2011 SX Season with Stewart and Regal
Team San Manuel Yamaha – Presented by Red Bull - is excited to announce that it’s 2011 racing effort will be led by returning Team rider and multi-time Supercross Champion James Stewart, along with AMA MX Series 2009 450 Class “Rookie of the Year” Kyle Regal. After a disappointingly short season in 2010, Stewart has been intensely focused on his return to the track this Saturday, January 8th, at Anaheim Angel’s Stadium, in pursuit of his third Supercross Championship Title. “I’m super excited to get back to racing this weekend. I’ve been anticipating my return for months.” As for Stewart’s new teammate, Kyle Regal, one of the most promising and talented new riders in Supercross, this Saturday marks the beginning of his first full year competing in the 450 Class of the Series. His track record to date and the intense training program he’s endured to prepare for the premier class competition have Kyle and his Team excitedly optimistic for the weekend. “Kyle has incredible talent on the race track and has been putting in the laps needed to be ready for Saturday. I am entirely confident in his ability to finish high among the best in the sport this season” said manager Larry Brooks.
With regards to the overall Team San Manuel program for 2011, Brooks said “We are very fortunate to have the best riders and sponsors in the sport and are looking forward to chasing the Championship this year.”
