Shift is currently looking for a Senior Designer for Performance Products, based out of the company headquarters in Morgan Hill, CA.
Position Summary:
The Senior Performance Product Designer will be responsible for all aspects of the product design process for MX, Street and Action Sports protective equipment, including apparel, bags and accessories, footwear, sportswear and related products.
Lead and influence other members of the design team. Facilitate the “Halo Effect” of being an experienced, talented and innovative Designer that elevates the balance of the design team. Expand constructive influence over the whole design team during the course of daily professional interaction, design critiques and product creation meetings. Set an example of positive attitude, enthusiasm for giving of self and professional conduct.
Job Requirements:
BS/BA degree or equivalent in Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Apparel Design is required. 5 plus years minimum design experience, specializing in technical product and apparel design is required. Previous experience in the Motocross, Action Sports, Footwear or other Sporting Goods Industry preferred. Must have excellent 2D communication skills, 3D form sensitivity and superior graphic design abilities. Proficiency using Mac based design applications, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, is required. An enthusiastic and positive attitude with a passion towards MX and Action Sports clearly evident. Must be very creative, forward thinking, and an energy giver, not a taker.
