HOUSTON – Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing is getting ready for its hometown race this Saturday, April 10 at Houston’s Reliant Stadium for round 13 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, a FIM championship. Along with the team’s base in Houston, its two Supercross Class riders, Teddy Parks and Jason Langford, are from Texas as is 250 Lites Class competitor Vernon McKiddie. Houston is the penultimate round of the Eastern Region Lites series.
Last year, Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing made its full East Coast season debut at Houston with an impressive 15th place in the Supercross Lites main event with rider Teddy Parks. This time around, all three riders are mounted on JM Racing-tuned black Kawasaki race bikes. Parks qualified for his first-ever Supercross Class main event in Toronto with a 16th place in his rookie season. Langford has been impressive for a first year pro and as of yet has not made a main event. Both riders look to make the main in Houston.
McKiddie is a multi-year Lites class competitor and also looks to show appreciation for his Texas-based fans by qualifying for the main event. His best race this season was in Toronto as well, where he was very close to earning a spot in the main event.
Houston fans will also get an extra treat this Saturday by stopping by the Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing pit. There you will meet the MXdesignz.com girls. Fans can take photos with the girls and get autographs from the girls and riders. Check out the MXdesignz.com clothing line while at the team pit.
"This is the race we look forward to all season and where we made our Supercross start last year,” said Tim Shea, team manager. “It's not only that we just have to drive the truck down the road to the stadium. The ultimate motivation is to have our friends, family and hometown fans that we’ll have here this Saturday. Decked out in our team FLY Racing gear and our black DeCal Works custom graphic Kawasaki race bikes we are ready to rock it in the Supercross and Lites classes!”
Supercross fans head to Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas this Saturday, April 10 to watch Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing riders take on both classes. During the pit party before the racing stop by to say hey to the riders and meet the MXdesignz.com girls—you cannot miss the graffiti girl wrap on the team rig.
