Spinechillers/Storm Lake Honda Continue Podium Streak
January 20, 2010 9:29am
After a career best 3-3 at Round #1 from Zach Ames, the Spinechillers/Storm Lake Honda Team of Nathan Skaggs (#5), Willy Browning (#10) and Zach Ames (#11) continued their podium appearances in the second round held in the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore MD.
Nathan Skaggs energized the team with his quickness off the gate pulling the hole-shot in each race in which he participated. “The Williams Motorwerx powered Honda CRF450 is super fast” commented Skaggs after the race. “The Rekluse clutch is perfect for these small tight tracks” Skaggs went on to say.
After a nail biting 1-2 finish for Browning and Ames in the LCQ on Saturday night, the Ride Engineering backed team put three riders in the top 10. Nathan led nearly every lap during the two-night race to finish on the podium with a 2-2 in each evening’s race.
According to team Manager Dallas Avery, “the team is off to an even better start than last year which was the best season in the young team’s history”. “The guys are so exited to be back to racing and our Storm Lake Honda’s are simply the best out there”. “We’re very happy to have Nathan in third and Zach in fifth in series points”. “Willy is coming up to speed quickly after an early season injury and will be pushing to the front in the next few rounds”.
Arenacross moves to the Hampton Arena, Hampton Va. for the next round of racing to be held on January 22-24. Tickets are available online at www.arenacross.com, www.ticketmaster.com, www.tickets.com. For more information on the AMA Arenacross Series log on to www.arenacross.com.
