Chad Reed Stars In FUEL TV’s Original Series “Firsthand”

Airing Sunday, January 10, at 8:00pm Eastern Time (5:00pm Pacific Time), and re-airing several more times during the next month, motocross champion Chad Reed stars in FUEL TV’s signature 30-minute series “Firsthand.”
Wrapping up Season 11 of “Firsthand,” we take a look into the life of professional motocross racer Chad Reed. Born in a small rural town outside Sydney, Australia, it didn’t take long for Chad to discover his natural abilities on a dirt bike. By age 18, Chad was on his way to stardom. Despite his father’s disapproval, Chad left his childhood home and took his now wife Ellie overseas to race at an international level. Facing the likes of Ricky Carmichael, Kevin Windham and James Stewart, Chad’s skills and emotions were severely put to the test.
We recount Chad’s early ambition, his failures and his chase of greatness. Chad breaks down his rivalry with James Stewart and talks about their 2009 SX battles. Then we pick up with him as he tries to win his first career AMA Outdoor National title, a task he hasn’t attempted since being injured in 2006.
From there we head back to his home down under to visit with his family and friends before defending his Australian Super X title against the likes of Dan Reardon, Jeremy McGrath and best Australia has to offer.
