Yoshimura Releases New Products for Suzuki RM-Zs
Chino, Calif. - The RS-4 for the 2010 Suzuki RM-Z450 and Z-250 features a Yoshimura duplex chamber that cancels out negative exhaust pulses and acts as a concordant mechanical baffle before the actual perforated baffle area. The design improves power while lowering sound. This pipe has a stainless/aluminum muffler construction with a carbon fiber tip and a 96dB spark-arrested insert. Other optional inserts available for this pipe are a motocross 99dB non-spark arrested version, and a 94dB motocross non-spark arrested insert. The stainless tailpipe bolts right onto the stock header for easy installation.
The RS-4 is available in Full System configuration in Carbon Fiber, Stainless/Aluminum and Titanium. Slip-ons are available in Stainless/Aluminum.
RS-4 Comp Series:
Full Systems 2008 ~ 2010 RM-Z450 ~ 2010 RM-Z250
The Suzuki RS-4 Comp Full System is an economical yet very high performance exhaust system that features a stainless/ aluminum muffler construction with a carbon fiber tip. The muffler is spark arrested with a 96dB insert. If you're looking for non-spark arrested options, there are motocross inserts in either 99dB or 94dB (which is AMA legal).

RS-4 Pro Series:
Full Systems 2008 ~ 2010 RM-Z450
This is the same pipe that Ryan Dungey and the Rockstar Makita Suzuki Team use. Not only is it a work of art, it flat out rips. At Yoshimura, we run the Suzuki Supercross/Motocross efforts and spare no expense in testing and development of these pipes. When nothing but the best will do, look no further. The power pulls hard right off idle all the way through to an arm yanking top end pull. Full titanium construction, with your choice of either a carbon fiber or titanium muffler. Both configurations come with a carbon fiber tip. The muffler comes standard with a non-spark arrested motocross insert at 99dB, but an AMA-legal 94dB insert is available.

RS-4 Pro Series
Full Systems 2010 RM-Z250
The Z250 really responded to our initial pipe designs. Tested long and hard by team rider Austin Stroupe, the final design just flat gets it done. This already great bike becomes a fire breather with our Pro Series Full System. Beautiful full titanium construction, the RS-4 Pro Series comes with your choice of either a carbon fiber or titanium muffler. Both configurations come with a carbon fiber tip. The muffler comes standard with a non-spark arrested motocross insert at 99dB, but an AMA-legal 94dB insert is available.

PIM-2
The PIM-2 is all about control of these two fuel injected machines. PIM-2 installs easily, typically in under 30-minutes using simple Plug-n-Play technology. Plug the PIM-2 into the stock wiring harness, using the supplied mounting kit, and you are ready to race! The PIM comes pre-loaded with two separate fuel injection maps for either a Yoshimura Slip-on or Full Exhaust System.
The adjustability is limitless and easy. If the two supplied maps are not enough, there are dozens of free downloadable maps on the Yoshimura website. Needless to say, with Yoshimura running the Rockstar Makita Suzuki Team we have a huge amount of time into fuel map development. All of these maps are easily available on our website. No matter what pipe brand or engine modifications you have, we have map downloads on our website that will cover virtually any possibility.

DATA Box
The DATA Box consists of an air fuel sensor and amplifier box that plugs into the PIM-2, and allows for self mapping of the motorcycle. Self-mapping means that as the user rides the bike on a dyno or on a closed course, the DATA Box automatically calculates the required fuel adjustment at each RPM and Throttle Position to reach the users selectable target air fuel ratio. The unit simultaneously creates a map that represents optimal air/fuel ratios predicated on the target value that the end user can manually enter.
The DATA Box offers an alternative way for mapping without the time or cost of a custom dyno tune. There is nothing easier then simply riding a few laps and then enjoying the downloaded maps efficiency. The DATA Box Mapping software allows for the user to easily enter the target air fuel ratio, start, stop, and review the results of the self-mapping function. Once the recommended adjustments have been reviewed, the user can either apply all of the suggested adjustments or just a certain range with a few simple clicks of the mouse.
The kit comes with all of the required hardware, but will require modification of the exhaust pipe header, (or purchase of a pre-installed header from Yoshimura), to accept the air fuel sensor fitting.
