Your Collection: Marty Smith RC Replica
December 28, 2009, 11:36am
This week's collection comes from Canadian reader Mick Varsava.
I restored this 1979 CR250 to look like Marty Smith's RC from the glory days. When purchased two years ago, the bike had a seized clutch and swingarm bolt and several other typical issues. Everything was redone and some upgrades were added to complete the RC effect such as bigger forks, Fox ring for the airbox, Fox Airshox, Oury grips and for comfort/safety, modern footpegs. Some smaller components were handmade due to unavailability. All of the plastic is original from several bikes. Number 9 decals will be put on as per the Smith RC.
WE NEED YOUR COLLECTIONS!
