  • Monsters of Motocross Returns on Halloween

FULLERTON, CALIF – For the second year in a row, “The Monsters of Motocross Presented by Lucas Oil” will be held in conjunction with the MTA Vet World Championships at Glen Helen on Saturday, October 31st, 2009. The event raises funds for the Reeve- Irvine Research Center for spinal cord injury research. The 2009 event will again be hosted by 7-Time National Motocross Champion Bob “Hurricane” Hannah and will be honoring 3-Time AMA 250cc National Motocross Champion Tony “D” DiStefano with the Edison Dye Motocross Lifetime Achievement Award.

Attending the event will be dozens of past motocross and supercross champions, offroad pioneers, mechanics, journalists, etc. like David Bailey, Malcolm Smith, Brad Lackey, Larry Huffman, Danny LaPorte, Mark Barnett, John DeSoto, Gary Jones, Jody Weisel, Tommy Croft, Marty Smith, Donnie Hansen, Keith McCarty, Dave Arnold, etc.

"It’s great to be holding this event again in conjunction with the MTA Vet World Championships at Glen Helen Raceway”, says Todd Huffman, Producer. “And having Tony DiStefano be our honoree that night is truly special.” Huffman added.

The “Monsters of Motocross” will be held at the beautiful, historic Sturges Center for the Fine Arts in San Bernardino (sturgescenter.org) where the facility is allowing a beer garden outside along with room for vintage bike displays and autographs sessions. Doors open at 5:00pm with show starting at 7:30pm

Tickets go on sale October 1st, 2009 online at www.MonstersOfMotocross.com and through select Southern California motorcycle retailers like Malcolm Smith Motorsports and Cycle Gear. Tickets will be $30 each or two for $50.

Event sponsorships and auction product donations are also being accepted.
