Answer Racing’s Michael Byrne Captures 2nd at the Southwick National

Corona, CA - Coming into the second to last national of the year, Answer Racing’s Michael Byrne was looking to capitalize on his hard work and pull off another great performance in the 2009 Lucas Oil Outdoor National Series. At the end of the day that is exactly what he did. After a long, hard fought day, Byrner captured his third podium of the year with a 2nd place overall which also helped to propel him into the 4th place spot in the Lucas Oil Outdoor National Series.

Not only did Byrner have to contend with a field of talented riders, but also mother nature decided to unleash the rain that helped turn the track into a very rough and demanding course for the second straight week in a row. Yet, with all of these added variables, Byrner was able to fight through a tough track and ended up tying for the overall spot. “Even through I was not able to come away with the overall spot this weekend, I am glad to be up here on the podium and there is always next weekend,” stated Answer Racing’s Michael Byrne.

With Steel City coming up this weekend, Byrner has his eye on that top podium spot and is looking to cap off the year with a win. So all of you Answer Racing fans come show your support for Byrner, as he chase’s after that exclusive top podium spot this weekend.
