2008 Pro purses, series sponsorship extensions & factories step up with higher contingencies…..

Washington, UT- 1/04/07: WORCS Racing announced today 2008 Pro purses, series sponsorship extensions & factory contingencies for the upcoming 2008 season.  On Jan. 18th, 2008, Phoenix, AZ will mark the opening round for the 2008 WORCS Racing season.  The Rocky Mountain ATV/MC WORCS Racing series is proud to announce the 2008 season will have a minimum guaranteed $7,000 Pro Bike purse at each round along with a $10,000 purse for the Annual Lake Havasu Spring Break race.  ATV side will boast an increased $4,000 guaranteed purse along with an $8,000 at Lake Havasu Spring Break race.

“The rider participation along with the growing numbers we saw in 2007 was a contributing factor on our decision to up the payout for the 2008 season.  The Annual Lake Havasu Pro payout will be a minimum guaranteed $10,000 purse.  The riders and factories know that we have the premier off-road venue locked in and I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this pay structure and hope it will encourage many more Pros to get involved in the west coast off-road scene.” Sean Reddish- WORCS Racing

Along with Pro Purse increase WORCS Racing is continuing to gain the factory respect by seeing an increase in the 2008 factory contingency programs that will be offered this season.  Kawasaki was the first to announce their 2008 Contingency with an unbelievable $440,000.00 dollars; Honda is coming in with an increased $105,950.00.  Contingencies are still unannounced for the Yamaha, Suzuki & Maxxis payouts.  Look for those to hit the press very soon.

“I can’t believe the contingencies these factories are offering.  I mean we see it every year in SX & MX, but for the companies to finally step up into the off-road world, they are about to see how many people actually ride off-road and the increasing numbers in sales and revenue that they will see half way through the year and into 2009. I am very impressed with the support WORCS Racing has received over the past two years.  It’s only going to get better from here” Jason Reed- WORCS Racing.

New to our program this year to the ATV series presented by Motoworks, Can Am and B-Dawg Plastics, each have signed on through 2009 and Can Am currently holds the #1 plate in WORCS Racing championship, ran by current ATV Pro Josh Frederick on the Can-AM/ Motoworks Racing team.

On the sponsorship side, Maxxis, Aceribis, Scott, GPR, Carter PowerSports, FMF, KTM, all announced 2 year sponsorship deals through 2009.  Maxxis, the official tire of WORCS racing and a highly recognized tire company in the off-road world will continue their off-road support with signing a 2- year deal with WORCS Racing. Aceribis/Scott the combined industry company that offers a wide variety of product including after market plastics for all makes of bikes and Scott, the leading provider in the goggle market for the motocross racing scene will re-sign as well through 2009. Pirelli is signed on board through 2008.

“These companies that continue to support the WORCS Racing efforts are the roots of our program.  These people continue to come back each year knowing that we provide the premier off-road racing program and they can be reassured that we will bring the top off-road racers to there product that has the demand for their accessory & product needs.- Sean Reddish- WORCS Racing
