Perris Raceway MX Sports Area Qualifier moved to March 1-2
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Dec. 27, 2007) – MX Sports, producer of the Air Nautiques/AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., announced today a change in the 2008 Loretta Lynn’s Area Qualifier Schedule.
The Area Qualifier at Perris Raceway MX in California has been moved from April 12 and 13 to March 1 and 2. This move was made to better accommodate the riders on the West Coast, as the previous dates were in conflict with the World Mini Grand Prix in Las Vegas.
Track owner, Sebastian Tortelli, said "Perris Raceway is excited to host this very prestigious event. The AMA Air Nautiques Amateur Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn's is without question the most important amateur event of the year. We are pleased the schedule change will better accommodate the riders in our region."
The 2008 qualifying season will commence with the (52) Area Qualifiers, beginning February 22 and concluding June 18. Step two of the qualifying process will be the (12) Regional Championships which will run from May 24 through June 22. The 27th Annual Air Nautiques AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship will be held July 27 through August 3.
