Moto XXX and Tamer Motorsports Team Up
Lincoln, NE - Tamer Motorsports LLC, owned by Kevin Maret and Moto XXX Racing, owned by Allan Brown, have joined forces for the 2008 AMA Supercross and Motocross season.
“A mutual friend put Allan in touch with me and we starting talking about what we could do, if anything, and that is what got the ball rolling,” stated Kevin Maret.
The two organizations parallel each other very closely and share the same business philosophies. Brown and Maret will co-manage the team with each person acquiring different job duties.
Moto XXX Tamer Racing will be based out of the existing Moto XXX race shop in Riverside, CA and will implement an in-house motor program through Moto XXX Performance.
“I want to focus more on the Moto XXX Performance business in 2008 and with Kevin onboard, I am able to do that while still maintaining a top notch race program,” said Allan Brown. Brown continues, “Kevin and I have a lot of racing experience between the two of us and the combination can make our efforts more financially stable while providing a better return for our sponsors. It is a win-win situation for everyone involved.”
Allan will focus on the technical aspects of the team such as bike performance, motor and suspension testing and will run the day-to-day operations of the race shop including management of the mechanics, the transporter and making sure the practice and race bikes are ready.
Kevin will oversee the operation and handle all logistics of the team.
“Today’s race efforts require everyone to wear many hats and this effort will allow each person to focus on less tasks with better end results. Allan is very experienced on the technical side of the racing while my tasks are better suited towards managing and by combining both our strengths, it will make for an excellent program and having an in-house motor program with Moto XXX Performance is an advantage in itself,” said Maret
Maret continues, “There is no power struggle between Allan and I with regards of who wants to be the manager or who does this or who does that. At the end of the day, we have a job to do and it has to be done and Allan and I both will get it done.”
