Monster Energy® Announced As Official Energy Drink of Arenacross

  • Monster Energy® Announced As Official Energy Drink of Arenacross

AURORA, Ill. (Dec. 21, 2007) – Live Nation Motor Sports Inc., announced today that Monster Energy® (Nasdaq: HANS) has signed an agreement making Monster Energy® the official energy drink of the 2007-’08 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series.

Right on the heels of Live Nation’s title sponsorship announcement regarding the 2008 Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, Monster Energy® is proud to extend its brand within the racing community by partnering with the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series as the official energy drink. This new announcement between Live Nation Motor Sports, Inc. and Monster Energy® will help strengthen the brand awareness for both the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series and Monster Energy® to race fans around the country, at both a grass roots and professional racing level.

“We are thrilled to welcome Monster Energy® as the official energy drink of the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series,” said Charlie Mancuso, president, Live Nation Motor Sports, Inc. “With Monster Energy’s® presence on the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series, it’s obvious that they are in touch with the sport on many levels. We expect and hope Monster Energy’s® involvement will give the arenacross series a boost with their immediate brand recognition and broad support from a retail level.”

Monster Beverage Company, a Corona, Calif., based company that’s part of the Hansen Natural empire, continues to expand into action sports with its recent announcements with Monster Energy® Supercross and the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series. While becoming the title sponsor of supercross marked Monster Energy’s® initial venture into a title sponsorship of a major pro motorcycle racing championship, becoming the official energy drink of the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series further establishes its footprint in professional and amateur racing.

“We view the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series an integral part of the master plan for supercross, comparing it to our Monster Army action sports athlete program,” said Mark Hall, president of Monster Energy®. “Much like our athletes work to rise through the ranks in hopes of attaining high-ranking officer status in the Monster Army, the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series provides the same opportunity for up-and-coming stars of supercross. So it’s implicit that, given our title sponsorship of Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, that Monster Energy® is aligned with the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series as well.”

The Toyota AMA Arenacross Series returns to action Jan. 4-6 for a two-race weekend at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich., along with a Saturday night race (Jan. 5) at Kemper Arena in Kansas City.

Tickets for the entire Toyota AMA Arenacross Series are available online at www.Arenacross.com, www.Ticketmaster.com, www.Tickets.com. For more information on the Toyota AMA National Arenacross Series log on to www.Arenacross.com.
