  • MDK To Title Sponsor WWR in 2008

Newbury Park, CA.  MDK Motorsports will be the title sponsor of the 2008 Wonder Warthog Racing (WWR) Privateer Support Program. In addition, MDK Speed Equipment (SE) will provide bike performance modifications for all members of the 14 rider team.

The team will be led by privateer Heath Voss acting as the Team Captain. Other riders include the Spanish sensation Manual Rivas, rising star Cole Siebler, Brazilian National Champion Antonio Balbi, Kevin Urquhart, Daniel Blair, Ramon Guzman, Mike Horban, Tye Hames, Billy Payne, Jase Lewis, and Tyson Hadsell, plus other riders to be announced.

MDK Motorsports and MDK SE were also the primary sponsors of WWR’s inaugural “big team, big tent” effort in 2007, which saw the team make 35 main events and support 26 riders.

Said Mark Kvamme, founder of MDK, “We are committed to the privateer; providing support and a competitive advantage for every level rider. We’re confident that the added performance of MDK Speed Equipment will have a huge impact on the WWR team. We’re really impressed with this year’s riders and the MDK Speed Equipment motors and suspension will help those riders achieve their potential. Good luck to the team and riders; we hope to see them in a lot of main events.”

“Having the MDK family back with the team for 2008 is fantastic!!  MDK is a perfect match for our program.  MDK stands for things the WWR values – supporting the sport, helping the privateers, achieving results, trying out-of-the-box ideas, and maintaining professionalism.”, stated Scott Kandel, WWR’s Chief Altruistic Officer.
