The 2008 Area Qualifier schedule will comprise of 52 races spread out across the nation, beginning February 22nd and concluding June 18th. These events signify the first step of the qualification process, which every participant must take if they wish to compete in the Regional Championships and ultimately the 2008 Air Nautiques/AMA Amateur National Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
Step two of the qualifying process will be the (12) Regional Championships which will run from May 24th through June 22nd. The 27th Annual Air Nautiques / AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship will be held July 27th through August 3rd.
MX Sports Director, Tim Cotter, stated “We are proud to have most of our Area Qualifier venues back with us for 2008 and we are excited to be joined by our new friends in Las Vegas and Cairo, GA., as well as others.”
There are still two dates to be confirmed: One in the North Central region and one in South Central region. Both dates will be announced this week.
