  • TUF Racing Announces New Team Name for AX Series

TUF Racing announced today that 'Bad Boy Power Drink Honda TUF Racing Team' is now the new official name for their team in the 2007-’08 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series. TUF Racing’s Dave Antolak said about the name change, "After working with Bad Boy Power Drink for only a few weeks, we've come to realize how serious and committed they are to the sport. They're more than just a sponsor that writes a check. They're team players that pay attention to every aspect of the business. Arenacross isn't just a marketing tool for Bad Boy Power Drink, it's a sport they truly enjoy being part of."

Riding factory supported Honda CRF250Rs this year with additional assistance from Cernic’s, the Bad Boy Power Drink Honda TUF Racing Team is defending champion # 1 Danny Smith, 2006 champion # 10 Chad Johnson, and # 74 Ivo Steinbergs. Steinbergs, the number one rider from Latvia, is making his debut this year in the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series.

"The first two rounds have been interesting," said TUF Racing team manager Chris Hunter. "Heading in to the third round in Reno, Chad is the points leader, Danny is in eighth place after a difficult night in Albany, and Ivo is still getting used to the how short and fast the AX tracks are compared to the longer MX tracks in Latvia. All the riders are psyched and ready for Reno."

Round three of the 2007-’08 Toyota AMA Arenacross Series will be in Nevada this weekend for its 16th year of competition at Reno’s Livestock Event Center.
