Red Bull X-Fighters Roars around the world: The 2008 Tour comes up with more inspiring FMX playgrounds and themes!

October 29, 2008 – The Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour of 2007 had both riders and spectators wanting more. So what seemed to be the ultimate in FMX skills, style and show, will see the next step of a one-of-a-kind FMX evolution. Progressing in the level of performance, creativity and entertainment the Red Bull X-Fighters will be touring the world again in
2008 with stops in Mexico, Brazil, Italy, Spain and the USA. The world’s best riders are ready to start their engines and compete in a series full of new and challenging FMX playgrounds!

The show will go on: With the Red Bull X-Fighters 2007 touring Mexico City, Slane Castle (Ireland) and Madrid, the event successfully featured FMX outside of a bullring for the first time. Striving for innovation, new and exciting locations and event themes have been handpicked for the Red Bull X-Fighters tour 2008. Renowned and respected international FMX champions as well as a powerful armada of young and aspiring FMX riders will be part of the 2008 series. All those FMX stars and talents will be more than eager to follow in Travis Pastrana’s footsteps and become the Red Bull X-Fighters champion 2008.

Expectations are high: As the Red Bull X-Fighters has a reputation of setting the benchmark for the ultimate FMX riding level, the development of new FMX courses with innovative tools, and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere and event concept, the 2008 event locations will continue to feature the Red Bull X-Fighters as a combination of the local tradition and the extreme sport of FMX. Numerous countries had applied to host one of the Red Bull X-Fighters 2008 tour events, however, only a few were carefully selected.

The Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour 2008 will feature five spectacular events. The place to be for the kick-off of the 2008 tour will be Mexico City’s Monumental Plaza de Toros in April 2008, an event venue notorious for its 42,000 crazy spectators invading the arena with drums and white bandanas to cheer on their FMX heroes.

For the next FMX fireworks in May 2008, the Red Bull X-Fighters will travel southwards to hit the Sambadrome in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. FMX meets samba, roaring engines and tough guys meet overwhelming South American joy of life.

Shortly after, the event comes back to Europe for the next stop: Rome, Italy. In a gladiator-inspired FMX battle, riders will compete in the historical Circus Maximus – and if you know the Italians, you know that they can party!

In June (or October), the Red Bull X-Fighters takes place in Forth Worth Stockyards, Texas with FMX and the rodeo/bullriding theme presenting an thrilling mixture of extreme sports and a Wild West theme.

In July, the event will return to its home turf, the most beautiful and venerable bullring of Las Ventas in Madrid where spectators with chainsaws and airhorns will be fired up for another crazy FMX fiesta Espanola!
