Kawasaki PR: Stroupe Injured
IRVINE, Calif. (October 22, 2007) – Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Austin Stroupe was injured last Saturday while practicing at the Lake Elsinore Motocross Park in Lake Elsinore, Calif.
Stroupe will undergo surgery on Tuesday to repair a fractured collarbone and his recovery time is expected to be three to four weeks. Stroupe and teammate Ryan Villopoto, who also underwent collarbone surgery after a crash earlier in the week, are expected to return to action in time for the 2008 AMA Supercross season.
“So far it’s been a rough start to the year,” said Team Manager Mitch Payton. “I guess we can be thankful that the last few injuries have been early enough where it shouldn’t affect us come January.”
