  • KTM Junior SX Challenge U.S. Open Rider Line-Up

AURORA, Ill. (October 4, 2007) – The Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open announced today the rider line-up for the KTM Junior Supercross Challenge (KJSC) inside Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena October 12-14.

Each KJSC rider competing at the MGM Grand Garden Arena won a World Supercross GP/AMA Supercross Series KJSC race in the 2006-’07 season.

Seventeen riders, sixteen U.S. and one Canadian rider, will battle head to head for two nights.  The winner will be determined based on a two moto format of the combined results from Friday and Saturday night’s racing.  All rider’s will race aboard a 2007 KTM 50 SX and will receive a free set of KTM Hard Equipment Racing apparel, a $100 EE Series Saving Bond (courtesy of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation), and other surprise gifts from this year’s sponsors.

Sel Narayana, KTM's Vice President and KJSC Manager stated, “It is such a pleasure to give these children an opportunity of a lifetime at the U.S. Open. They ride on the same track as their idols – imagine how exciting that is for a young rider! It is a huge reward for me and the rest of KTM to see such excitement on their faces when they see the track and then the audience for the first time. After all is said and done, there is nothing better than seeing a smile on their face when they are heading home.”

The KTM Junior Supercross Challenge is sponsored by KTM Hard Equipment, Motorex, Thor, Michelin, FMF, Scott, Ogio, M2R and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

Tickets are now available for the 10th Annual Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas October 12-14, 2007 at www.ussx.com, www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 702-474-4000 or the MGM Grand Garden Arena box office.
