  • One Chance To Win Video Premier

Premier for One Chance To Win to be held at the California Theatre in San Bernardino, CA, on Saturday, November 3, 2007.

Motocross Legends including Brad Lackey, Jimmy Weinert, Tony DiStefano, Steve Stackable, Billy Grossi, Marty Smith, Marty Tripes, Bob Hannah, and David Bailey to attend to support charity event for spinal cord injury research organizations.

FULLERTON, CALIF. (September 26, 2007) – After a year and a half of interviews and production, the premier for One Chance To Win (OCTW) is slated for November 3rd, 2007 at the California Theatre in San Bernardino. The premier will be in conjunction with the Vintage and Two Stroke World Championships and the White Brothers Veteran Motocross World Championships being held at Glen Helen the same weekend.

In 1975 a young filmmaker named Charles Bush decided to make a documentary about the sport of motocross and followed the AMA 500cc National Series that year. Little did he know that that particular series would go down in the annals of motocross history as one of the most exciting and controversial ever…and his cameras were rolling. The famous “Battle of New Orleans” unfolded before his lens and history was made. Unfortunately, the film was never released and 30 years later, the producers of the TV series The Motocross Files were able to find Mr. Bush and his one and only 35mm print of the film to transfer and restore in HD. They have restored the film as well as produced an entirely new 45+ minute Behind The Battle-The Making of One Chance To Win with interviews they have done while shooting for The Motocross Files. Both pieces will be screened on November 3rd.

“It was great including real interviews from the actual riders, mechanics and editors involved in that series with Charles’ footage from the movie. I think the audience will be amazed to what was happening on and off the track.” Said Todd Huffman, Executive Producer of the film.

A host of legend motocross racers and mechanics who were either in the film or at the races will be in attendance for the premier including: Brad Lackey, Jim Weinert, Tony DiStefano, Steve Stackable, Billy Grossi, Marty Smith, Marty Tripes, Bob Hannah, Bill Buchka, Roy Turner, Dave Arnold, Keith McCarty and Bevo Forte. OCTW filmmakers Charles Bush and Steve Howard will also be there.

In addition to premiering the film, producers would like to use the occasion as a fundraiser for some important organizations in the spinal cord injury research fields. Those included are the Reeve-Irvine Research Center, Full Circle Foundation and Wings For Life. Proceeds from theatre tickets and event sponsorships to go to these organizations.

The event is open to the public and tickets are $25.00 each or $40.00 for (2) and will be available online and at the California Theatre box office. Tickets will be available that night but may be limited. The doors will open at 6:00pm and the actual program begins at 7:00pm. More information will be available online shortly at www.onechancetowin.com.
