  • American One to Air Red Bull MXoN

FUNCHAL, 15 September 2007 – Youthstream, the FIM Motocross World Championship and FIM Motocross of Nations commercial rights holder, and America One Sports, a division of America One Television Network, are pleased to announce that the Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations, which will be the 61st edition of this prestigious event, due to the high importance of the event, will be aired slightly delayed on the race day, Sunday September 23, in order to show the event in prime time (Eastern time: from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm; Western time: from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm).

Moreover America One Sports guarantees a massive coverage of the Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations, which will mark the event’s comeback to America after an absence of 20 years, by re-broadcasting the races on the Tuesday after the event, September 25. This is actually the same schedule with which America One Sports broadcasts the Grand Prix’s of the FIM Motocross World Championship.

This thrilling schedule will give the many American fans the chance to watch the biggest Motocross race of the year, without missing any bit of this amazing show.

After winning the Trophy of Nations for the 17th time last year, Team America with Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto and Tim Ferry want to go for the 18th strike at home at Budds Creek.

Giuseppe Luongo, Youthstream President, said: “The Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations is the best off-road event in the world.  Last year 85,000 fans attended the MXoN in England and we believe there will be even more this year in USA.  It's the greatest show in the world and thanks to the huge TV broadcasting we reach more than 100 million fans in 170 countries around the world.”

Preston Bornman, the Executive Vice President of America One Sports, stated: “America One is excited to carry the 2007 Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations. The event should be a grand finale for the FIM Motocross series this year, and I believe the Europeans are going to give the Americans all they can handle. I do not believe that Tony Cairoli is beatable by anyone in any class.”

America One Television is an independent full-service syndication and distribution television network for quality sports and entertainment programming. America One programming is seen in over 60 percent of the United States and Puerto Rico via 170 major network and independent broadcast television stations and 22 regional sports networks.
