  • Baja Monster Energy Brawl Pro-Am

Darryn Durham (95) took the win.

Labor Day weekend in Millington MICHIGAN the 6th annual Baja Monster Energy Brawl Pro-Am had the Baja Mx staff with their hands full supporting record breaking attendances. It began on Saturday with over 800 race entries, this gave the riders a taste of things to come by riding a rough track that Baja Acres is known for, which will set the tone for the next 2 days of the Brawl. Music jammed from Kiss to Korn that stoked the crowd up for the Pitbike Championship race that followed sponsored by Ray C’s was a new challenge for the 64 riders by racing on a NEW track and under the lights. Chas Legue checked out.  The Brawl Pro Am hosted a three moto format which began on Sunday with 675 riders and 78 degree temperatures a day in paradise. Top competition in all classes made for an exciting day for the fence full of spectators with the expanded viewing area around the back of the track to see how the racers have to manage the upper sand sections. After racing, entertainment continues with the 3rd annual BMX Pond Jump sponsored by team Dynamic ended the day with as always stupid talented fun for all and Tim Carpenter the champ again for the third year in a row with a back flip 360 combo to seal the win.

Corey Slavic

Monday came with final motos with Suzuki and Cobra contingencies on the line as well watching top riders such as Travis Sewell, Jacob Edison, Brodey Gould, Jarett Pesci, Matt Crown, Daniel Aulseybrook, Trevor Donnie, David Bacon, Mitchell Harrison and more using their skills on the demanding Baja track that seemed to have whoops from beginning to end. The AMA Eastern Pro Baja Brawl 250 winner was COREY SLAVIC with Darryn Durham in second and Jerry Lorenz in third. The 125 winner was DARRYN DURHAM with Corey Slavic in second and Scotty Thomason in third. Congratulations to all survivors of the 2007 BAJA BRAWL and we thank all the sponsors who have supported this event.

Tim Carpenter
