FMF’s Mike Alessi Takes Second at Steel City

In what was some of the best racing we have seen all year, FMF’s Mike Alessi took his first ever Moto win in the MX class and second overall for the day at Steel City. Alessi grabbed the holeshot in the first Motocross moto and battled with Langston and Windham, eventually pulling away for the moto win! Alessi was thrilled to have won the first moto, but knew there was still work to be done in the second. When the gate dropped, Alessi was in the top three and ready to fight for the overall. Another epic battle ensued between the top three of Alessi, Langston and Windham. With just a couple laps remaining, Alessi was unable to get around Windham and took third place, good for second overall on the day. Mike's strength and determination has brought him within ten points of the Motocross Championship with two rounds remaining. FMF would like to congratulate Mike Alessi for a great season thus far and wish him the best of luck in the coming weeks!
