Corona, CA (August 16, 2007)

Troy Lee Designs Announces 2008 AMA PRO Supercross & Supermoto Race Team Plans
Fresh off the success at X Games 13 where Team Troy Lee Designs / Honda / Red Bull swept two-thirds of the Supermoto podium, the team is now announcing it's expansion to compete in AMA Supercross West Coast 250 class in 2008.  This is a first time endeavor in AMA history that a team will compete in AMA Supercross in the winter, and AMA Supermoto in the summer.  While Jeff Ward, David Pingree, and Cassidy Anderson will remain focused on AMA Supermoto, two new riders will be added to the team to compete in both AMA Supercross and AMA Supermoto for Team TLD.

The first rider to be signed to Team TLD for 2008 is Christopher Gosselaar.
With a laundry list of previous achievements, and a wealth of knowledge Chris will bring a tremendous amount of experience to the team.  His vast knowledge of testing, bike setup, and preparation for Supercross will be extremely valuable to the team in this new challenge.  Chris who is a veteran on the AMA pro circuit is excited about the change from the regular routine, as well as the new challenge of being successful in AMA Supermoto.  This new team, and unique schedule will undoubtedly bring the best out of Chris’s abilities and he will be at the front of the pack on his TLD Honda be it in the stadiums of Supercross, or the mixed pavement and dirt tracks of Supermoto.

Look for Team Troy Lee Designs to make its Supercross debut at Anaheim Stadium on January 5th, 2008. For the remainder of the 2007 race season Team TLD will be competing in the AMA Supermoto series where it is again in contention for both the AMA Supermoto 450, and AMA Supermoto 250 Championships. Troy Lee Designs on November 9-11, in Southern California, will again promote the AMA Supermoto series finale.
