Log Road MX Racers Headed for Loretta Lynn’s
With ten trips to the big dance between Log Road owners Jeff Beerbower and Bart Newman, we are well aware of the time, determination and cost associated with getting you or your rider to the dude ranch at Loretta Lynn’s. That being the case, Log Road Motocross will continue our new found tradition as the “track that gives back”, starting with our college scholarship program that was announced this season and helping sponsor three riders to the big show at Loretta’s dude ranch.
We were looking for a select group of riders to represent Log Road Motocross at America’s most prestigious amateur motocross event. The amount of the sponsorship relates directly to your sportsmanship both on and off the track.
In the end, the choices were tough, as a lot of great AMA District 14 Log Road Motocross regulars could have filled the bill. Whether or not you were picked, we will be at Loretta’s cheering you on.
Our first selection was #53 Alison Vrba. Alison hails for Albion, Indiana, but has been a District 14 member for the last several seasons. This will be Vrba’s second trip to the ranch and she has been training hard to make it a great week. Vrba will be riding a Log Road MX/Fox Racing/Kenda Tires backed CRF250 in the Women’s Sr. class and is banking on a top ten finish.
In the mini ranks, we went with Petersburg, Michigan rider #959 Chris Prebula. Chris will be racing 85 Jr. stock and modified aboard his Log Road MX/Championship Powersports/PR Racing/JMC Suspension/AXO Racing KTM. This will be Prebula’s first visit to Loretta’s.
Our third rider is Liberty Center, Ohio’s Broc Peterson #329. Broc has raced District 14 almost exclusively throughout his career. He got our attention after running at the front of the Motocross class at RedBud’s LLQ on a CR250 two-stroke. Peterson will be running in the Motocross B Modified class and the Motocross Lites B Stock class. Backing Peterson will be Log Road MX/Championship Powersports/PR Racing/Badbrush Design.
A big thanks to Don Koveleski at Hilltop Construction and Jeff Clark at Badbrush Design who got behind this project 100%. If you’re looking for some construction work, give Don a call at 517-529-4952 and Hilltop Construction will have you fixed up in no time. Badbrush is your full service graphic’s dealer. Whether you’re looking for number plate backgrounds or a full-on motorcycle makeover, give Jeff a call at 419-866-8775 and he will hook you up.
Alison Vrba, Chris Prebula and Broc Peterson exemplify the kind of riders we wanted to represent Log Road MX - strong family values, the heart of a lion, good sportsmanship and the drive to be the best, no matter what the obstacles are in front of them. Be sure to attend the AMA District 14 Michigan Mafia Championships at Log Road MX on August 18th & 19th. We will be bringing not only our riders, but all willing Loretta Lynn’s competitors up on stage for interviews with Log Road announcers Terry Sullivan and Fred Fresse.
