AURORA, Ill. (July 11, 2007) – The Toyota AMA Arenacross Series announced today the 2007-’08 schedule that kicks off Nov. 2-4 at Des Moines, Iowa’s Wells Fargo Arena and wraps up March 14-16 at Green Bay, Wisconsin’s Resch Center.

Defending champion Danny Smith won the first major championship of his career last season when he edged out Honda’s Robbie Reynard. Smith, of Middleton, Idaho, began his professional racing career in 1997 and remained a regular fixture on the AMA Supercross Series before entering the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series. Along with the championship, Smith was awarded a brand new 2007 Toyota Tundra truck.

“Last year’s race to the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series Championship was an amazing blend of new and old talent,” said Todd Jendro, senior director of Arenacross, Live Nation Motor Sports. “Danny (Smith) won the well deserved title in his first full year of competing on the tour. This year the Toyota AMA Arenacross Series will once again give fans non-stop, up-close racing action at some of the country’s premier venues.”
