NASMOTO Announces 2007 Schedule
More Tracks, New Exciting Venues, More Fun and the Queen Returns
Santa Monica, Calif. - May 16, 2007 - NASMOTO (North American SuperMoto) kicks off its third year with a blockbuster schedule for the 2007 NASMOTO SuperMoto Grand Prix, which builds on the successes from the past seasons and branches out into new regions with two new promoters for 2007. With one race already under its belt, NASMOTO's remaining 10 Pro-Am rounds will be capped off at the AMA NASMOTO SuperMoto Grand Championships, scheduled for November 10, 2007.
"As we enter our third year of racing, we are more excited than ever about this opportunity to present SuperMoto racing to both pro and amateur motorcycle and ATV riders across the continent," said Ted Baker, NASMOTO Vice President.
NASMOTO events include two SMX pro bike classes and nine amateur classes. Also, back by popular demand for the second year are pro and amateur ATV SuperMoto classes for eight events. As in the past, the top 10 amateur riders from each Regional Qualifier will earn a berth at the AMA NASMOTO SuperMoto Grand Championships.
The season highlights two rounds in Canada and three premier U.S. events including the Extreme Cycle Jam NASMOTO ATV SMGC in Nashville, Tenn., the SMUSA Vet National NASMOTO Nor-Cal GP in Fernley, Nev., and the Cooperland USA NASMOTO SuperMoto Shootout in Norman, Okla.
