Detroit Area Chevy Dealers Step Up Again As Title Sponsor For AMA Detroit Supermoto Round (July 8th); Second-year of unique motorcycle competition at Waterford Hills Raceway should prove to be another classic this summer with Chevy’s backing

WATERFORD, Mich., (May 9, 2007) – Officials with the 2007 Detroit Supermoto at Waterford Hills Raceway, Round Four of the AMA Supermoto Championship, are proud to announce today that the Detroit Area Chevy Dealers have again stepped up as the title sponsor for this year’s July 6-8 event in Clarkston, Mich.

“The Detroit Area Chevy Dealers are thrilled to be part of such an outstanding action sports event again this year,” said Mike Savoie, spokesman for the Detroit Area Chevy Dealers. “Chevy dealers drive the Motor City and look forward to lending our great brand’s name to this truly unique motorsports event, the AMA Detroit Supermoto.”

From all points across the United States’ largest metropolitan region, the 44 metro suburban Detroit Chevy dealers represent not only the foundation of what drives the Motor City, but also are direct conduit to one of the most motorsports-friendly regions in the Untied States.

“And that makes the match between the Detroit Area Chevy Dealers and the Detroit Supermoto round even  more perfect,” said Tom Zielinski, President of Z Sports, Inc., the producer and promoters of Detroit Supermoto. “Chevy has been synonymous with competition motorsports through out the history of auto production in this great region. Partnering with the new sport of supermoto allows the Detroit Area Chevy Dealers to continue to expand upon their already great racing heritage.”

Through its website – www.detchevy.com – the Detroit Area Chevy Dealers and the Detroit Chevy Street Team, in association with white-hot alternative radio station 89X, will combine with Supersports on numerous upcoming promotions in conjunction with the July 8th weekend competition at Waterford Hills Raceway.
