NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 2, 2007) - It was an exciting and emotional night on April 28 at Qwest Field in Seattle, Washington as James Stewart continued on his path to be the best in Supercross. Crossing the finish line in first place, Stewart celebrated his first AMA Supercross title and second FIM World Supercross title of his career. Stewart won the 15th round of the Amp’d Mobile Supercross Series well ahead of Davi Millsaps, in second, and third place finisher, Kevin Windham.
As 47,000 fans cheered, Stewart led the way through all 20 laps of the AMA event, stopping only when he reached his father, who received him with an emotional hug after crossing the finish line. Stewart had to place in the top nine to seal the AMA Supercross Championship. The Seattle win was the 12th victory of the season for Stewart, and with one round left in Las Vegas next week, it probably won’t be his last.
Bridgestone has been a proud supporter of James Stewart throughout his professional career, and is elated with all his success.
