Your Collection
This week's collection comes from Chuck Akin:
"Greetings from Costa Rica,
Attached you will find photos of a couple of the bikes from my collection. The HL 500 is a "scratch build" replica using a wet sump '77 TT500 motor and a highly modified '76 Husky frame.
The swing arm is from a '79 RM400, the wheels and forks from a '80s 490 YZ. (I raced a TT500 back in '76 and even the White Brothers had nothing for that unit's hideous fork flex). It's called a "Dogs Lunch" because it has parts from Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki and Bultaco. It takes a step ladder to get on it but the third gear wheelies are sweet.
The other is a '72 250 CZ I used in the late '90s in the AHRMA Rocky Mountain series. (The parrot is a 'Tico nod to Brad's dove)."
