  • Honda’s Short and Millsaps to Visit Children’s Hospital

AURORA, Ill. (April 9, 2007) – Honda’s Andrew Short and Davi Millsaps lead the list of the world’s top Amp’d Mobile Supercross riders who will participate April 26 in the second annual Supercross Triple Charity for Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center. The fund-raising event will culminate on Saturday, April 28 at Seattle’s Qwest Field at the final round of the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series.

Organized by MX for Children in conjunction with Live Nation Motor Sports, the charity event hopes to raise $75,000 for Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center through a variety of supercross-related giveaways and celebrity rider meet and greets.

“This event not only raises money for the hospital but also for cutting edge brain research,” said Paul Gross, creator of MX for Children and organizer of the event. “Along with spending quality time with the kids at the hospital, Andrew, Davi and the rest of the racers will host top fundraisers at an exclusive photo and autograph session as part of the Inside Line Experience.”

In addition to the Inside Line Experience, organizers have garnered several items that will be put up for giveaway or auction, including the grand prize Team Makita Suzuki RMZ-250 with the winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday night at Qwest Field. Event sponsor Renton Motorcycles will host top supercross riders for an autograph session that will include a silent auction, with an abundance of industry goods and signed memorabilia.

“I feel privileged to be able to participate in such a fine event,” said Short. “The event was a success in its first run last year and I hope that with Team Honda’s participation we can continue its growth and raise more money for the children.”

Pledge forms can be picked up and raffle tickets may be purchased at participating Suzuki dealers or online at the official website www.mxforchildren.org.

Tickets for the race are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, all participating Yamaha Dealers, at the Qwest Field Box Office, or charge by phone in Seattle: 206-628-0888, or in Tacoma: 253-627-8497.
