Steve Boniface Injury Update
Team MotoSport Kawasaki rider Steve Boniface was injured during practice at the Houston round of the AMA Amp’d Mobile Supercross Series. After being thoroughly evaluated at a local hospital, Boniface was diagnosed with “transverse process fractures of his thoracic and lumbar spine.”
Though he was forced to sit out the San Diego race, he should be ready to be back in action when the Western Regional series picks up again in April. The prescription for Boniface to get healthy is to just wait it out while the bones heal.
“I’m definitely in pain but it’s not as bad as it could be. I can’t do anything for two weeks, and then I can begin some training such as riding a stationary bike and swimming,” said Boniface. “At four weeks I can get back to training normally again, and I can get back on the bike in six weeks.
“I’ll be working as hard as I can to be 100% again in time for the Seattle and Las Vegas Supercross races, and the outdoor season,” he continued.
