R.I.P. Ron Boyas

Privateer Ron Boyas, of Walton Hills, OH, passed away this past Saturday from injuries he sustained after a crash while practicing in North Carolina. His friend Lonnie Taylor was with him and wanted everyone to know that Ronnie died with a friend holding his hand and that he had his boots on.

Ron Boyas began racing when he was six-years-old after his Uncle Tony introduced him to the sport of motocross. He acquired his pro license when he was 16 and has held it for almost 15 years. He qualified for multiple night programs, Loretta Lynn’s and several pro nationals. Ron’s life, like so many involved with motocross, became consumed by the sport. Motocross was everything to him everyday. Friend Jay Hershey said that he has never seen anyone so passionate as Ronnie was about the sport of motocross.

The family has requested that although the wake is open to the public, intimate visitations are only available to his family, friends and people that have been especially touched by him in motocross. Motocross was Ron's life and they know there are a lot of people touched by Ron.

The family also requests that donations be made to Road 2 Recovery Foundation.
