Tamer Kawasaki Anaheim III Race Report
With awesome weather for the final Supercross in Anaheim, the team entered 100% healthy and again, Sorby, Marsack and Graham transferred from the day program to the night program making it five for five events.
Starting with Bradley Graham and the Lites heat race, Brad came off the gate in 12th position and rode an excellent race to finish 9th transferring directly to the main event. Once in the main, Brad ran 16th with Chris Blose most of the race and finished 17th.
Eric came to Anaheim with a sore ankle and flu like symptoms but would muster through his heat race and finish 8th moving directly to the main event. Marsack was running 8th and was involved in a crash ending his chances in the heat race and a first turn crash in the LCQ ended his night of competition.
In the Supercross main, Sorby began the race in 8th position. On lap four, Eric hurt his ankle once again and was forced to quit the race finishing 20th.
"The ankle was X-rayed in the Asterisk Mobile Medical unit and found to have no broken bones, only a deep bruise. Eric will be forced to stay off the ankle most of this next week, but will be ready for Houston," stated Kevin Maret.
Maret continues, "Bradley is now consistently making the main events, so now we will begin working on his confidence and competitiveness during the main. He is riding excellent right now and Jake needs to start better and not allow himself to be in the situations of the last two weekends in order to be a main event contender."
Eric remains 18th in points, Jake Marsack is 25th in points and Bradley Graham is 25th in Lites points as we enter round six of the AMA Amp'd Mobile Supercross Series in Houston, TX.
