All American Firepolicemx KTM Race Report

Erv Braun Entertainment, Risk911.com , Team BCB, Trijicon, Miller Motorsports Park and Kingdom Apparel presented  round 4 of the All American Firepolicemx KTM Race Team Tour in San Francisco, California.

Friday in San Francisco was a busy day.  It usually rains at the San Francisco race and it makes for much more preparation.  Ed Wilson one of the team owners got there early and was able to enjoy all the great fans partying it up out side of his motor home Thursday night.

Saturday the rig looked great. Greggo the truck driver said he spends all his time at the truck stop answering questions about the team and the truck.  All the riders were there early Saturday to get ready for the race.  Oehlhof said he felt great after a good week of practice.  He rode several times at Competitive Edge.  Gerald his mechanic had his bike set up great.  Jonon and Charette put in a good week of training and were ready to go. 

Saturday Ed made some of his famous Tri Tip BBQ.  If you have not been to the race and tried it you are missing out.  We have people from all over the pits come over when Ed does the cooking.  The meal was awesome and it really went well with some XS energy drink.  Andy, from Mastro Industries is on board, as our health and fitness consultant. PRACTICE

Practice went well for all the guys and they put down some great lap times. 

The track was a little wet and it made for quite a muddy mess.  We had the pressure washers working overtime.  The bikes were running great and they all had lap times in the top 40 and qualified for the night show.  That makes 4 for 4 where all the guys have qualified for the show. 

RACE

Jonon got a great start and put his KTM in qualifying position early.  He stayed strong and put the KTM in the main.  Charette started a little bit back but quickly was putting in some great laps. Jonon had his best ride yet and rode to a great 15th place finish.  He was up to 12th and we are looking forward to a top 10 soon. Oehlhof had a good start and looked like he would cruise to the main event with a 5th place finish. Disaster struck over the second triple and Joe got sideways.  He came down hard and the crash looked pretty bad.  Gerald deserves a medal for getting the bike ready for the LCQ. 

He got it ready and finished strong in the top 5 in the LCQ.
