Toyota Tundra Privateer Challenge Gives Amp’d Mobile Supercross Fans an On-Site Interactive Experience

AURORA, Ill. (January 24, 2007) – Each Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series race this season will feature the Toyota Tundra Privateer Challenge, an exciting on-site interactive experience for fans to get involved with the racing on the field.

Toyota, the official truck of supercross, introduced this new program at the opening race in Anaheim. The Toyota Tundra Privateer Challenge matches up three fans with three privateers racing in the AMA Supercross main event, with the winner awarded a Thor prize pack, including an autographed Chad Reed jersey, Thor helmet and backpack. The selected fans will wear a Toyota hat and Toyota Motocross Athlete (TMX) t-shirt for the evening and be shown live on the stadium Jumbotron.

The three fans will be drawn during the first intermission, at which time they will pull from a pool of privateer riders selecting their rider for the evening. They will then be treated to a VIP experience of watching the AMA Supercross main event from the field as their selected privateer rider competes on the track. The fan matched with the highest placing privateer receives the Thor prize pack and the privateer rider wins an additional $1,000, all courtesy of Toyota.

“The Toyota Tundra Privateer Challenge is another way to get our fans involved with the sponsors who have helped the sport grow to where it is today,” said Todd Jendro, sr. director of supercross. “This new Toyota program was a hit at Anaheim and is an excellent opportunity for the fans in each market. Toyota has been a big proponent of helping the privateers with their TMX Athlete Program, and the Toyota Tundra Privateer Challenge is just another way of giving back.”

Fans can register for the Toyota Tundra Privateer Challenge on-site from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Toyota Zone in the pit area or at the Toyota displays located on the stadium concourse.

Toyota continues its commitment to the sport through its grassroots (TMX) program that is designed to support motocross from the ground up by helping rider move from the amateur ranks to the pro level. Visit www.ridetmx.com for more information.
