Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross’ top privateer in ’06 signs two-year deal with Oxtar
CARLSBAD, Calif., (Jan. 11, 2007) – Nick Wey, the ultra-fast, super smooth supercross front runner announced today he’s signed a two-year deal to run Oxtar boots, effective immediately.
“I was with Oxtar a couple years ago and really liked what they’d done with their motocross boots,” said Wey. “When the opportunity arose to align myself with them again I was quick to pull the trigger. Oxtar makes a great set of motocross boots, specifically the ones I’m running – the TCX Pro.”
Wey, who finished 5th overall in the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series last year, scored podium finishes at the San Francisco, Orlando and Dallas rounds. A fan favorite wherever he races, officials at Oxtar are equally excited to be aligned with Wey.
“Nick has expressed to us that he likes the Oxtar brand better than any boot he’s ever ridden,” said Oxtar’s Carter Olcott, Oxtar’s U.S. Sales and Team Manager. “That’s good enough for us and we couldn’t be happier having him back with the Oxtar team.”
