Thursday marked the official beginning of Amp'd Mobile World Supercross in Toronto. But instead of the usual bench racing-filled press conference, Thursday's media meeting was at Toronto's Sick Kids Hospital.
James Stewart, Tim Ferry and Chad Reed were on hand to reward a group of young and ambitious supercross fans who had collected $32,500 in pledges for the hospital and earned themselves a spot in MX for Children's Inside Line Experience. After spending some time with the Inside Line kids, the riders visited the Sick Kids library to read to the young patients. While this weekend's WSXGP race was on everyone's mind, Thursday was all about the kids.
