Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows Presented by Toyota to Feature Motocross America ‘The Tour’

Santa Ana, Calif. – (October 10, 2006) Advanstar Communications, a leading provider of integrated media solutions to the automotive aftermarket, off-road and powersports industries, announced details today of the new motocross display that will trace the evolution of the sport.

Working in conjunction with the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, Advanstar will be bringing elements of the museum’s most popular display on their 13-city nationwide tour with the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows Presented by Toyota.

This new feature for the upcoming show series will be a traveling version of the Motocross America exhibit. The display opened in 2005 in Pickerington, Ohio, and tens of thousands have already made the trip to see this comprehensive exhibit – encouraging museum directors to extend the display at the museum through the end of 2007. Mark Mederski, executive director of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, says, “Motocross America is as entertaining as it is educational. The Museum is thrilled with the opportunity to team with Advanstar and introduce the exhibit to an even larger national audience.”

To promote the sport and the exhibit, a touring version of the MXA display will make all 13 stops of the series. "We are extremely excited to have such a unique display as part of our tour this year. Each show currently has displays showcasing the latest modern machines, but to actually see the heritage and technological growth of the sport and all the dynamic champion riders of motocross within the MXA display will be spectacular for show attendees," said Jeff D'Entremont, Show Director for Advanstar.

Point Z Marketing has been charged with assisting in the procurement of new machines to compliment the display. "We are excited to be working with the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and the International Motorcycle Shows on this project," says Point Z Owner Michael Orr. "There is a lot of work to do in a short time, and the extension of the museum exhibit in Ohio means that new machines and other important ephemera are needed for the tour. Having support from the Industry and individual enthusiasts will be vital, and the opportunity to present these machines to the 600,000 enthusiasts who will attend the tour this year is unprecedented," added Orr.

Sponsorship and display opportunities are still available for the 13-city tour which starts the first weekend of November in Phoenix, Ariz.
