AURORA, Ill. (October 4, 2006) – This year’s Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open has put together the largest and most unique sponsorship line-up in the event’s history. The support and dedication of the top-tiered sponsors has helped develop the world-class event inside Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena October 13-14 into one of the most anticipated races on the planet.

"The on-site presence, activation, and overall support from our roster of clients is undeniably the best it has been in recent years,” said Tim Murray, senior vice president of sales, Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open.  “With the support of our sponsors and the new format of the Rockstar Energy Drink US Open, the weekend will be a very exciting and explosive event for all."

2006 On-Site Sponsorship Activation at the Rockstar Energy Drink U.S. Open to date:

Official Energy Drink and Title Sponsor: Rockstar Energy Drink

Rockstar Energy Drink will have product samples and information about upcoming products available at their display RV, which will be displayed during the pit party.

Official Truck: Toyota

Toyota, which also sponsors the Trifecta program as well as the Amateur Arenacross World Finals, will unveil the Next Generation Tundra to motocross fans by having the truck hoisted above the truck on a specially designed platform. The Toyota Trifecta will be adding a new element to the race, as the winner of Trifecta or the champion's mechanic of the race will win a Tundra. Toyota will conduct TMX Rider Seminars on Saturday in the pits that include speakers such as former AMA Supercross/Motocross champion and 1999 U.S. Open champion Jeff Emig.  These seminars will showcase all of the elements riders should be aware of as they move from amateur to the professional ranks.

Presenting Sponsor: Thor and Parts Unlimited

Parts Unlimited, the industry leader in the distribution of motorcycle parts and accessories, again will be a part of the Rockstar Energy Drink US Open.  A true leader in the sport, their presence will be apparent through signage, a display truck, and their world-renown dealer showcase. Thor is the number one name in supercross/motocross apparel and casual wear, and they will again be on hand to support their riders on the track and their riders in the stands.

Official Insurance Company: Progressive Direct

Progressive Direct will have models working in the pits, distributing poster bags to fans as they enter. Fans will also be able to catch the Progressive Direct girls in action when they present the Progressive Direct Holeshot Check at the end of the main events each night.

Official Military Branch: U.S. Air Force

U.S. Air Force will have a jet airplane turbine engine on display, with interactive video games and giveaways. In addition, an F-16 mini jet will be on display. Prior to the main event on Friday and Saturday evening, the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will be leading the opening ceremonies.

Official Smokeless Tobacco Product: USST

USST will distribute samples of their various smokeless tobacco products to fans ages 18+ older at their Adult Only Facilities in the pits and at the entrance to the Grand Garden Arena.
