- Jimmy Albertson Injury UpdateJanuary 10, 2011Jimmy Albertson suffered a knee injury on his Merge Racing/ Blanco Basura/Troy Lee Honda during the 3rd lap of his 2nd 450 qualifying session last night. Albertson was sitting in 18th overall fastest time after the first session. Albertson thought he could pick up another second and possibly two during the 2nd session, and he was only one second from placing in the top ten in first session.

Co-team manager Gregg Albertson and Jimmy has put together an impressive privateer effort in a mere couple weeks. The older Albertson brother also handles other duties as mechanic, coach, logistics, and transport driver. Albertson has made the choice of the 2011Honda CRF450 to make his AMA Supercross debut in the premier class at Anaheim 1. Returning from a year racing the World GP’s, Jimmy will be sporting #108 for 2011 after earning National #34 before going overseas.
