FMF Racing Becomes Official Exhaust of
2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship
FMF Products Available for Purchase at the Races
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – MX Sports Pro Racing and Alli Sports, a division of the NBC Sports, have announced that FMF Racing has partnered with the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, becoming the Official Exhaust of the 2012 season.
Located in Rancho Dominguez, Calif., FMF is an industry leader in aftermarket exhausts for all types of motorcycles. The brand has had strong ties to motocross since its early days in the 1970s. Now, four decades later, FMF is taking the next step in its support of the sport.
“We are so excited to be part of the legendary championship that is the root of professional motocross racing,” said Donnie Emler Jr., Brand and Marketing Director for FMF Racing. “FMF has played an essential role in competitive racing since my father Don Emler, owner and founder, started the company in 1973, and then in 1974, when we powered Marty Smith and won the very first AMA National 125cc Championship.”
FMF’s support semi will be on hand at certain events to provide trackside support for all of its athletes and to showcase the leading exhaust systems in the world. In addition to exhausts, the new casual line of FMF/Joe Gibbs Racing apparel will be available for purchase, which JGRMX rider Davi Millsaps can be seen wearing between motos in the paddock.
“Having FMF back as a partner of the Nationals is crucial for the sport of motocross,” said Mark Carter, General Manager of Motocross, Alli Sports. “Their support through social media and marketing will be a huge lift for Lucas Oil Motocross.”
Perhaps the most exciting element of the new partnership with FMF is the introduction of a weekly contest that will give two fans at each round this season the one-of-a-kind opportunity to see the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship from a different perspective, gaining exclusive First Class access to the Nationals. Fans can get more information and enter by checking out the FMF Racing Facebook page, and by following FMF Racing on Twitter (@FMF73).
The 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will commence in just a few weeks, kicking off on May 19 from Rancho Cordova, Calif., at the legendary Hangtown Motocross Classic.
