Morning Report
Good morning race fans! After a weekend off, we are back in action for another supercross race day! At Gillette Stadium, we are back outside for round 13 (round 13 of 450SX, round six of 250SX East Region) and our final Supercross Futures qualifying event of the season.
After last racing March 16, the 250SX East Region returns as the featured 250cc division today. Enter Cameron McAdoo, who will have the red plates on his Kawasaki KX250 for the first time this season (and first time since 2022 Daytona SX). The #63 has a two-point lead over KTM’s Tom Vialle and a nine-point lead over GasGas’ Pierce Brown with Yamaha’s Haiden Deegan lurking 16 points down. We have seen four different race winners so far in this division—Austin Forkner, Haiden Deegan, Tom Vialle (two wins), and McAdoo—and of the current field, a currently-sidelined Forkner is the only winner at this venue (2022).
In the premier class, Jett Lawrence remains in the points lead, although Cooper Webb has cut the #18’s lead from 23 points to 16 points to now only eight points. With five rounds remaining, how will Jettson respond this weekend? Could Webb cut the gap to less than five points by the end of the night? Eli Tomac picked up his first win of the season at the last race. Are there more wins to come for ET3? What about the 450SX winner the last time the circuit visited Gillette Stadium—Jason Anderson. The #21 does not have a win yet in 2024 and could make for a seventh different winner if he does claim a win at one of the final five rounds.

One note in the 250SX class today: Casey Cochran is making his 250SX East Region debut. The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna rider got his AMA Supercross license after racing the Daytona (third) and St. Louis (seventh) SX Futures events and he is now set to make the jump to the big stage today.
And in terms of Supercross Futures, we will see our fourth and final qualifying event of the season as riders look to claim a spot in the championship finale set for Salt Lake City, Utah. Although there are no championship standings and no race wins really matter in this class until the championship finale, Kawasaki’s Drew Adams has two wins on the season as GasGas’ Cole Davies has a win as well.
For today’s full broadcast/streaming schedule, check out the start times below for the Race Day Live qualifying show and tonight’s main program. Bikes will be on around 11:30 a.m. local time (Eastern).
Free Practice
250SX Futures
After Cole Davies was leading the field for most of the session, Mark Fineis jumped to P1 on the eighth lap with a 59.358.
250SX
Supercross rookies Casey Cochran (59.677) and Crockett Myers (1:02.220) topped the 250SX group C free practice in their first AMA Supercross practice session.
The 250SX group A free practice got the green flag and Pierce Brown led the field on the track. Max Anstie momentarily had the top time until Coty Schock had a 58.836, which was then topped by a 56.991 by championship leader Cameron McAdoo. Anstie returned to P1 with a 55.472, which was the top time.
450SX
The sun was out when the green flag waived on the 450SX group A session, and it was Mitchell Harrison leading the field early with a 58.423. Jason Anderson moved into P1 with a 56.617 and then the next lap, Eli Tomac put down a heater—a 54.201. Several riders started jumping into the whoops, which is a line we might see come the night show later today. Not sure what happened, but Adam Cianciarulo picked up his mechanic and rode off through the tunnel, ending his session early. Remember, he got collected in the second turn pileup at the St. Louis Supercross and was dealing with an ankle injury. Aaron Plessinger went down on the turn after the supercross triple and got up favoring his left wrist. After talking with the Alpinestars medical crew, his mechanic Jade Dungey, and an AMA official, Plessinger got back on his bike and went to go ride again. However, he did a U-turn quickly and came back to the mechanics’ area as something was not right. He got off the bike and started to walk through the tunnel as Dungey pushed the #7 KTM 450 SX-F machine. Late in the session, Chase Sexton's 54.184 moved the #1 into P1, which is where he would finish.
First Qualifying Session
250SX
Max Anstie topped the first 250SX group A qualifying session with a 54.559. Haiden Deegan was second with a 55.051 as championship leader Cameron McAdoo came through fifth with a 55.544.

450SX
Eli Tomac was leading the field when the 450SX group A session began as Mitchell Harrison and Justin Barcia came together in the turn after the finish line jump. Barcia went down and did not look happy when he got up. Barcia would later go over the berm after the supercross triple, similar to what happened to Max Anstie earlier. On the results page, Cooper Webb led with a 55.778 with Malcolm Stewart sitting second with a 56.220. After a few laps, Jett Lawrence jumped to P1 with a 53.841. Jett bested his top time to a 53.479. Chase Sexton put in a late heater—a 54.156—which was his best time of the session but sat sixth. The #18 topped the session as he has most of the season.

250SX Futures
Some rain started to fall during the 450SX group B session, although it did not last super long. Drew Adams topped the 250SX Futures first qualifying session. Landon Gibson had a big crash in the first rhythm section and he got up favoring his left collarbone/shoulder. He walked off the track before he was helped onto the Alpinestars medical cart. Bummer for the young #23 machine. Gavin Towers ran into trouble of his own, crashing once in the long rhythm section as well, but then he accidentally went over the berm after the finish line jump and he went straight into the big mud hole on the side of the starting straight. He was unable to finish the session, although he had the third-fastest lap by the checkered flag, because his machine was stuck. A few people came together and discussed what to do as Towers watched with visible frustration, throwing his hands in the air. Eventually, once the track was cleared, a track crew worker was able to use a Caterpillar TL642 to lift the stuck #15 out of the mud. Cole Davies, Towers, Mark Fineis, and Tyler Mollet rounded out the top five.

Second Qualifying Sessions
250SX
The gate dropped on the second 250SX group A qualifying session, and it was Seth Hammaker with the fake holeshot. Haiden Deegan gave Cameron McAdoo an elbow bump on the opening lap. Riders were shuffling around some and then it was Daxton Bennick leading McAdoo and the rest of the field on track, while Max Anstie was leading Deegan on the live results page. Bennick moved into P1 this session with a 54.124 but then McAdoo (53.408) and Anstie (53.300) struck immediately with heaters. Trevor Colip and Nick Romano had separate crashes in the turn after the supercross triple, as that turn has bitten a bunch of riders here today. Then, Seth Hammaker became the third rider to go over a berm and land his bike in a mud hole. First it was SX Futures rider Gavin Towers in the turn after the finish line, then it was David Pulley in the turn after the mechanics’ area, then Hammaker found yet another mud pile in the turn leading into the finish line jump. The track crew quickly brought out the lifter again and removed the #43 machine. Anstie’s 53.094 was the top overall 250SX qualifier on the day.

450SX
The gate dropped on the second 450SX group A qualifying session and it was Cooper Webb, Justin Barcia, Jett Lawrence, and Justin Cooper were out front. Eli Tomac was railing the turn out of the sand section and doubling over the first turn and into the first rhythm section. This line is tough because of the tight, 90-degree turn leading into this line. A great lap putting it all together put ET3 into second, as his 52.087 was second was behind Cooper Webb’s 51.708. In the first session, Jett Lawrence was fastest with a 53.479, but times improved in the second session as Webb’s 51.708 was the fastest.

250SX Futures
Drew Adams topped the second 250SX Futures qualifying session of the day with a 55.743. Cole Davies, Mark Fineis, Gavin Towers, and Klark Robbins round out the top five. Landon Gibson did not start the session following a hard crash in the first session. Report is Gibson suffered a collarbone injury, so he will be out for the remainder of toay.
250SX Heat 1
When the first race of the night got out of the gates, Chance Hymas got the holeshot over Seth Hammaker. Haiden Deegan and Cameron McAdoo made their way through the field. Deegan got into third and then passed Hammaker to take over second place. However, Deegan has a mistake in the sand section that cost him two spots. Hymas held off a charging McAdoo at the end by 1.158 seconds, taking the first heat race win of his career. Hammaker, Pierce Brown, and Deegan rounded out the top five.

250SX Heat 2
The second heat of the night dropped the gate and Max Anstie led Daxton Bennick, Jalek Swoll, Tom Vialle, and Coty Schock, but Schock quickly shuffled into second place and SX rookie Casey Cochran moved into third. Bennick got by Cocrhan to take over third, then Vialle got the #166 to move into fourth. The top four started to break away as Cochran ran a lone fifth. Behind him there was a solid four-rider battle between Jalek Swoll, Gage Linville, Ryder Floyd, and Bryton Carroll. Floyd had to pull off though in the midst of the battle. Vialle put a nice block pass on Bennick after the SX triple to move into third. Anstie took the heat race win over Schock.

450SX Heat Race 1
As the gates dropped on the first 450SX heat, Eli Tomac got a great jump out of the gates as he flew in and out of the first turn in the lead. Justin Cooper shuffled into second as Hunter Lawrence bested Ken Roczen to move into third after a battle with the #94. But then Cooper had a big crash in the first rhythm section, as he came up short and went for a wild ride. He managed to get up on his own power, which was good news considering how bad that crash could have been. The #96 inherited second from Cooper's crash but Tomac had already checked out. Barcia and Justin Hill rounded out the top five.

450SX Heat Race 2
The gates dropped on the second 450SX heat race and it was Jason Anderson and Jett Lawrence out front. Cooper Webb quickly got into the race lead and was under pressure from the #18. Jett Lawrence was closing up on Webb doing the 3-3-1 line in the second rhythm section, although he was not able to get close enough for a pass for a handful of laps. Eventually, going over the SX triple, Jett Lawrence got on the inside of the #2 machine and pulled off a clean block pass. Chase Sexton, running third, was hitting the 3-3-1 line as well, but Webb did not pick up on it. Watch to see if riders go to that line later tonight.

250SX Futures Main Event
The final 250SX Futures qualifying race of the season got underway and Cole Davies was way behind the field before they even got halfway down the starting straight. Out front was Drew Adams, Luke Fasuer, and Gavin Towers. Adams checkered out out front as Towers shuffled around his fellow Pennsylvanian and took over second. Davies fought through the field and passed Fauser momentarily until the KTM rider put on a textbook block pass to reclaim third place. Davies hit the ground and lost a few positions. Mark Fineis was in the top five until a crash twisted his bike up and he dropped to dead last. He had twisted up bars but eventually finished the race. After Towers accidentally collected Fauser in the last race at St. Louis, this time the duo landed on the podium together. Tyler Mollet and Davies rounded out the top five.

250SX Main Event
The points-paying main events came, and as the 250SX gate dropped Haiden Deegan got the early race lead. Tom Vialle and Seth Hammaker trailed the #38 machine on each side, but Cameron McAdoo quickly made his way into third place behind Vialle. Unfortunately, Hammaker went down hard in the whoops, which saw him remount in dead last. Hammaker pitted and looked to be testing his right shoulder mobility. A minute later, his mechanic Jacob Martin jumped on the back of the bike and the duo rode off the track through the tunnel. Casey Cochran had two falls on the race and saw himself outside the top 15. McAdoo managed a pass on Vialle to move into second, but by that time, Deegan was clicking off lap after lap out front. Without any mistakes, Deegan took the race win over McAdoo and Vialle. Pierce Brown and Max Anstie rounded out the top five. Cochran came through 15th in his first 250SX main event race.

450SX Main Event
The final race of the night came and off the gate drop, it was Cooper Webb jumping to the early race lead as Eli Tomac and Jett Lawrence were both buried off the start. Webb had Ken Roczen and Chase Sexton all over him. Webb, Roczen, Sexton, Shane McElrath, and Justin Hill were the top five early, but that would change as the field shuffled around. Tomac had a fall early in the race that cost him a few positions. ET3 and Jett Lawrence would charge through the field until Jett made a pass on Tomac. Eventually, the #18 moved into fifth and Tomac moved into sixth. At the checkered flag, Webb held off a charging Sexton by just barely a second, as Roczen came through to round out the podium. Jason Anderson held off Jett Lawrence in the final turn by just 0.205 seconds to claim fourth! With the way they finished (Webb first, Jett Lawrence fifth), Webb and Jett Lawrence will both leave with the points lead as they are tied for the top spot now with four rounds remaining.
