Ken & Joe's // santa clarita, CA // kenandjoes.com // 661-254-2929
The motorcycle business in the Santa Clarita Valley started in 1968 when Dick Allen opened a Yamaha dealership next to the railroad tracks. The Santa Clarita Valley (Newhall, Saugus, and Canyon Country) was a wide-open riding area with trails in the surrounding mountains and canyon roads—and the gateway to the Mojave Desert. If you needed a part, a fix, or some local riding knowledge, you always stopped at Dick Allen’s.
As the population in the valley grew, so did motorcycling. Over the course of the next three decades, the little mom-and-pop motorcycle shop grew into a true destination for motorcyclists. That was the time that Dick Allen, the good ol’ cowboy he was, decided to retire and just go riding. Under new ownership, the business continued to grow through road rides, dual sport rides, parking- lot barbeques, and good times. Eventually, the new owner decided to focus his interests elsewhere but wanted the motorcycle dealership to continue to be run by motorcyclists, for motorcyclists, to give riders the attention and service that this wonderful riding area deserves. Enter Ken & Joe’s.

motoxtremes // west harrison, in // motoxtremesmx.com // 812-637-2255
Motoxtremes was established in 1998 by Kevin Orschell in West Harrison, Indiana, where we still reside today. Through those 20 years, Kevin grew the business into a Husqvarna franchise dealer at one point, supporting up-and-coming riders like Scott Metz, Dave Oettel, and Willy Browning to name a few. Toward the end, it became a Husqvarna Power Equipment franchise as well as motorcycle parts and accessories dealership.
Fast-forward to the summer of 2018, when the business was sold to Mike and Heather Ivers so Kevin could focus on his excavating business. Mike has been a fixture in the motorcycle industry for over 20 years, most recently working as the sales manager for Sunstar for the past 13-plus years, as well as previous dealership experience, most notably Honda/Yamaha of Troy during the early to mid-2000s.
tj's cycle sales & Service // austin, tx // tjs-cycle.com // 512-453-6255
We are a family owned and operated store, in business since 1987. The day we opened, our total inventory was a pair of brake pads and a used bike. We sold that pair of brake pads that day, and we were off and running. We are now a Group Store for KTM, Husqvarna, and WP Suspension. We have some other great brands, too, like Kymco (since 2002), Benelli, and Royal Enfield, the longest continually manufactured motorcycle in the world since 1901. We’ve got the kids covered, too, with Osets, SSR Motorsports, Stacyc Electric Bikes, and Strider balance bikes. Start them young! We also represent a ton of aftermarket brands. Just a few include Troy Lee Designs, Fox, Shift, Fly, Klim, Joe Rocket, Roland Sands, Alpinestars, Gaerne, Sidi, Stance, Pro Taper, Twin Air, Kryptonite, Nelson Rigg, Yuasa, GoPro, Garmin, Bell, HJC, Shoei, Suomy, Bel-Ray, Motorex, Silkolene, Repsol, Motul, and VP Racing Fuels. Do you need to try on knee braces? We have several brands in stock to choose from.
Finally, we love our last name: service. We want to give you the best service possible. Servicing your bike or just finding the right bolt, we will go the extra mile for you—unless it’s Sunday or Monday, when we’ll be putting miles on our own bikes!
When it's go time... Legends Barlow gets there.
