Anderson and Friese Crash, Shove, Slap, and DQ
January 21, 2017, 11:45pm
It's happened again—a rider has swung at Vince Friese at Anaheim and has been disqualified. This time it's Jason Anderson in the dustup. In a 450SX heat race at round three of Monster Energy Supercross, Friese received a big block pass from Malcolm Stewart. Anderson tried to take advantage and pass Friese, but they came together in a corner, Anderson went down, and caught Marvin Musquin while he was down.
After the race, Anderson started pointing at Friese, then shoved the back of his helmet. At the same time, Friese's mechanic was shoving Anderson, and Anderson ended up on the ground.
After the incident, the FIM's John Gallagher disqualified Anderson from the rest of the night's racing. Friese was allowed to continue racing.
