Irvine, CA — From your local trails to winning the Baja 1000, Malcolm Smith Racing has been there, done that and has the gear for it. MSR's latest riding gear and casual apparel range are featured in the just released 32-page 2016.5 Spring Collection Catalog. From the NXT Air series hot weather vented gear to the timeless styling of the Legend 71 Series and the all-round expertise found in the Axxis riding gear, MSR has your back no matter what your riding style.

“A love and passion for riding, exploring and racing drives us to create off-road products that provide the highest levels of protection and comfort,” says Malcolm Smith Racing brand manager Brent Harden. “We are a brand made up of riders, racers and enthusiasts who share one common goal: Improving your next ride. As it says right on the cover: WE ARE OFFROAD.”

From Malcolm Smith's very first Baja 1000 win in 1967 to Team Ox Motorsports/MSR's latest win, MSR knows desert racing! This 50 year heritage of Baja-beating technology is incorporated into the flagship NXT Air Series featured on the cover of the 2016.5 catalog. “Our HYPERFLO™ ventilation makes the NXT Air series our top performing hot weather gear,” explains Harden. “Desert riders can look good and feel even better.” Malcolm's legend lives on… literally in the form of the “Legend 71” series.

“We have taken the clean look of classic 70's styling and combined it with modern technology to create the Legend 71 line,” says Harden. “Nostalgia is great, but we want to improve your next ride since nobody wants to suffer through old-school blisters, chaffing and hot spots.” Authentic styling, including genuine cowhide panels at the knees, meets modern technological upgrades like the latest poly fabrics… “Legend 71 really does offer the best of both worlds.”

Of course not everyone wants the retro look or plans to win the Baja 1000. Enter the 2016.5 Axxis pant and jersey combos. “Comfort, durability and fade-resistant, the Axxis gear does it all,” notes Harden. Comfortable enough for extended adventure touring, feature-rich enough for serious moto and casual enough for trail riding, Axxis has all angles covered. “It is our most versatile gear with all the best features without jacking up the price too high for someone to ride in it.”

While the MSR team was tailoring the Spring 2016.5 collection of riding gear and casual apparel, they decided to do a little spring cleaning at the website. “We have fine-tuned the www.MSRacing.com site to improve functionality and customer interface and we updated the look to match our new catalog,” Harden explains.

“Whether it is a better online experience or being more comfortable when the mercury climbs this summer, MSR really is all about improving your next ride,” concludes Harden. “It's a simple idea that we focus on everyday!”

The Spring 2016 Collection of Malcolm Smith Racing gear can be seen in person at your local dealers, at the MSRacing.com website or via a digital edition of the catalog.
