American Gavin Faith had a scary crash Sunday at the inaugural AUS-X Open in Sydney. Faith appeared to lose control over the finish line jump and came crashing down.
According to MotoOnline.com.au, Faith sustained two broken vertebrae, a broken collarbone, three ribs and a mild concussion.
“I am really bummed about Sunday,” Faith told MotoOnline.com.au. “I was feeling good and everything was on point for another good night. We will review what happened when everyone gets settled, but I am just feeling bummed right now.”
Faith, a two-time Australian Supercross SX2 Champion, finished runner-up to Chad Reed on Saturday night in the first night of the event. It was his second podium finish in his maiden 450 season.
We will have more information as it becomes available.
